My knee has been giving me FITS for the past week and a half. I was attempting to train for the Komen 5K and the next day, it felt like it just sort of blew out. I really want to do this race, so I'm going to try wrapping it and doing whatever I can to get it back to normal. A couple of you have already contacted me about pledging, which is really awesome. I hope to not be hobbling across the finish line on a busted knee!

Please do be careful with your knees; as much as this might be an important event, knee injuries take a long time to heal.

Will you be posting pledging info?

Is there a walk connected to it that you could do instead?

I'm going to try wrapping it the next time I go out, and I'll take it easy. It feels sort of like it's hyperextending, so maybe wrapping it tightly will hold it where it needs to be.

You can walk or run, and I usually do about half and half. I may be walking more this time, but it's all I can do not to take off running when I'm in a race. It's just this crazy adrenaline rush. I'm going to see if keeping it wrapped does any good.

It's looking doubtful as to whether I can do the race. I'll post more later, but it's just not looking good and I am VERY upset about it. :-/
