All Tomorrow's Parties..

Actually yesterday's and two weeks ago parties. I didn't even realize that I'd not posted the pictures of the dinner I had with nonspecific, theldara and crew, so I'll do that now, along with the family dinner from yesterday. Shall we?

Kitteh...it's what's for dinner!





(He thinks if he's not looking at us, we won't eat him. Silly boy.)





Cooking the REAL food. (We did not have General for lunch, I promise.) And yes, I realize my calendar still says May.



So, this is some of the family, shoveling in the chow that I cooked.



That's mom in pink, on the lefthand side, and dad on the righthand side. The secret to a 41+ year marriage? Sit on opposite ends of the couch, apparently.

There was almost nothing left, so it must have been good. For dessert, we had my Better Than Sex cake. There were two small pieces left (which I confiscated for the fridge, and shall enjoy later.)

After dinner, I brought out the catnip, for some entertainment.

(This would be the henna that I did by myself this week. Wednesday, maybe? I think I did OK for my first time solo!)

And (almost) the entire gang during a kickass game of Trivial Pursuit. We played teams, and I am playing with theldara's little sister Kaity. Guess who won? Yeah, that's right, we did! And apparently one glass of wine not only gives me a headache, but also makes me display ridiculous hand gestures!



And lastly, with my boyfriend, General. Awwwww...



So, that's two, two, two parties in one! I've gotta say, I'm getting a lot of mileage out of my new place! There's been action in some form or another almost every weekend that I've been here and I'm really enjoying that. I'm ready for another game night. Scrabble, anyone?

Oh, and I've also noticed that in, like the last three sets of pictures that I've posted, I'm wearing that paisley halter top that everyone seems to love. I *almost* wore it yesterday, but I figured that would just be ridiculous. It's so comfy and pretty though! And COOL.

General does look a bit deranged, doesn't he? :-P He has a little "mole" on his bottom lip (the doc has said it's nothing but skin discoloration), so that doesn't help his crazed appearance. He looks like he's screaming for help.

I have gotten so much grief about that cookbook!! People will come in my kitchen and say "How to cook EVERYthing, huh? That book looks awfully thin for EVERYthing." What's ironic is, there are other varieties of it, so I guess it really is false advertising. And sadly (or perhaps fortunately), I don't think there are any kitteh recipes in it. :-/ I guess my brood can all breathe a little easier. ;-)

It IS marvelous. I love cooking on it. I don't think I've burnt anything yet! :-) (My stove in Knoxville was old and terribly temperamental. You could burn stuff really, really easily on it.)

I looooove that table. It was dirt cheap, too (like $300, and it's solid wood, no particle board or anything else fake.) We have a new furniture shopping mall-type thingie called Furniture Row here. They have them across the country. I got the sectional at Sofa Mart and the table at Oak Expressions. They were both a steal. Yay!

Yep, totally. ;-) When I first started using the henna on my hair, I told General that my fur was the same color as his now. :-)

Gen is the only one with a collar. I think it had a bell on it at the beginning, but we quickly removed it, because it was driving him and us batty. They do look so cute with them, though. :-) Is Miles pissed because the bell announces his presence, or because he's humiliated that he has to wear a bell, I wonder?!

I have long neglected to tell you how much I love that color and style on you. It's absolutely stunning!

I don't think my msg to you on myspace sent, but I deleted LJ temporarily because my ex's lawyer was snooping...and not that there is anything worth snooping except poetic posts about Spring in Nashville and animal photo posts, I don't like the intrusion. Ya know? So I deleted it for a few days until I could sit down and make EVERY entry Friends Only. Boy, was that tedious.

You do look incredibly happy and I'm glad the new place is becoming a home! <3

I'm sorry to hear about all the trouble though. I didn't get a response on MySpace from you, so I was wondering what was going on! Glad to see you back...I was worried! Years ago, when Nemo was a kitten-brain, we could yell at him until we were blue in the face and he would not stop misbehaving. I don't even remember why this happened, but one day I just looked at him and said "Kitten fajitas...." and he froze, staring at me. "Onions...Peppers" I continued and flattened out slightly, what ever he was fucking with before forgotten. "BIG cast iron skillet..." and he actually ran into the other room.

Thank you! Envious I can wear...like the halter tops? Man, I live in those things every summer. I was SO happy when that style came back into fashion, and I have a bunch of them, although that paisley one is definitely my favorite.
