Wow, today has been an amazingly good day thus far, considering how the weather is sucking mightily. I'm going to see Al Gore speak tonight at ETSU, which should be fun and interesting.
I've also found the best chocolate milk on the planet. If you're down south in the Tennessee-ish regions, and have access to Mayfield milk, this stuff is made of elfin magic. It's fat free chocolate milk called "Over the Moon" (because hey, it's seriously awesome and tasty), and it not only has no fat, but also contains a ton of protein and other real, actual nutrition. Plus, the good folks at Mayfield don't pump their cows full of those crappy hormones and stuff, so it's environmentally aware. Al Gore would be proud.
Hmm, what else. Oh, who of you is playing Pathwords on Facebook? http://apps.facebook.com/pathwords/landing.php I know some of you are on there, but if you'd ever like to play with me, let me know. I'm so utterly addicted to this game, it's not even funny. Like my Tetris for the new Millenium. My high score at the moment is 940, but I'm trying desperately to get over 1000. It's good to have goals.
I think my new favorite band in the world is Alamo Race Track. If you like melodic, fabulous music that sounds as though it was recorded by indie angels, check them out. And I just found out that they're Dutch which makes them even cooler. I've always been fond of the Dutch Boys.
Got the lineup for Sundown in the City today. http://www.sundowninthecity.com/# While not as magically delicious as the 2005 lineup (which I firmly believe will never be beaten...Rilo Kiley AND Sleater-Kinney fo'free?), it's good enough. I'm hyped about Gavin Rossdale just because, well, he's friggin' HOT, and I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the others. Did I mention they're free? It's times like this I miss living in Knoxville.
Speaking of Knoxville, the Covenant Health Marathon is Sunday. While I'd planned to run the half marathon, I've realized my limitations and instead will be doing the 5K. And the sad thing is, I'll probably wind up walking part of it.
I've been eating apples like they're going out of style lately (never did really understand that phrase...if something's going out of style, why would you want it?) Anyway, that's a good thing. Better for me than pizza and potato chips, I suppose. And I've been craving rice like woah, too, ever since I had some yummy rice at
nonspecific's house the other night. Although I found out today that she inadvertantly fed me bugs. Ah well, sometimes you just gotta eat the bugs.
