I took today off work (or at least, out of the office) to get some serious packing done. I threw away a ton of stuff, which is no small feat for me (I'm a packrat like you have probably never seen.) But not long into my excursion, I realized I was out of trash bags. So I trekked out to Walmart to pick some up. I was just going to get the regular kind, but thought I might be more motivated to ditch stuff if I had the big kind. Plus, I was almost out of my ordinary kitchen bags, too, so I just got them both. When I got up to pay, I realized I had a box of those gigantic contractor's bags, a box of regular trash bags and a bottle of Febreeze. The clerk probably thought I was getting rid of a body.

That's funny! I sometimes wonder what clerks think when I'm checking out, then I figure they've probably seen it all and don't care why I have duct tape, velcro, whipped cream and a new peek a boo bra- I love walmart. I know it's the big corporate baddie but really, it has almost everything in one trip LOL

Yes, I have a love/hate relationship with Walmart. I hate that I love going there so much. But yeah, I'm sure they have seen a lot. Still, you have to wonder what they think sometimes.

A friend of mine used to work at CVS (which was Revco at the time.) There was a gay couple who were very regular customers there. She said that just about every week, they'd buy a tube of KY Jelly and a roll of Polaroid film (this was in the '80s, before digital cams.) Nothing else..just lube and film (and lots of both, apparently.)

I have gotten sympathetic looks when I was checking out with a bunch of chocolate candy, a giant bag of chips, a bottle of Tylenol and a box of tampons.

That sounds close to my monthly survival kit.

I like Target, but Walmart is literally within walking distance of my house. So it's more a matter of convenience.

Thanks! I've found that cutting up the body makes it a lot easier to stash. And that's where the Febreeze comes in handy.

OMG, that made me laugh so hard the body removal!

Good luck on the purge as you prepare to move!

Thank you. I need all the luck I can get! I will be amazed to see the amount of crap that I get rid of, give away and/or sell.

No, no...you'd need lyme if you were getting rid of a body, silly. Don't you watch MSNBC and American Justice? :P

Oh, see, I don't have cable anymore, so I'm apparently missing out here. I figured the Febreeze would do the trick.

I was at Walmart last week, and saw this girl who looked JUST like you, but she was at least 6'6".

I'm 5'9", and I came up to about her shoulder. Last time I checked, you're not that tall :P

Nope, not quite. :-) I'm about 5.2 with shoes on. What's funny though, is I have an aunt (my dad's "baby" sister) who is 6.2. She's like the mutant of the family.

Was the girl working there or just shopping?
