Haha! Yes, they are both male. General was the only boy for 11 years, and I was kind of afraid of how he might react to having "competition", but as you can see, they seem very fond of each other. I guess having Trouble neutered at a very early age probably helped.
In the first one, General has such a lothario look on his face, like he's trying to seduce Trouble. But the second one, they just look like buds.
I try not to be one of those people who posts annoying pictures all the time, but these were just so adorable, I couldn't resist. Glad you liked them! :-)
Oh my...what a big, gorgeous kitty he was! I'm so sorry that you lost him, and at such a early age, too. I totally understand, so...yeah.
My Dexter dog passed away October, 2005 (his memorial is here:http://bluesilverkdg.livejournal.com/204750.html .) He'd been sick for months before that, and the last few weeks of his life were stressful, to say the least. I felt like I was just watching him waste away in front of me, and the day he died, I truly felt like I was having a nervous breakdown. With Sabrina, it was literally begun and over with in less than 24 hours. I don't think either way has any advantages.
Have you gotten another kitty, or does Tibby seem to enjoy being an only child? I just really felt that I needed to adopt another one, and somewhat quickly, both for my sanity, and for General. I honestly believe he'd have mourned himself to death if I hadn't. And obviously, he and Trouble have become really good buds.
Nope...my ex-husband named him that because he's got lots of stripes like a General. But he does have an orange UT collar that he's had since he was a kitten.
Kittyfaces! ♥ I want another kitty so badly, but the landlord was originally looking for pet-free tenants to begin with, and the boys (especially David) flat out say no. Boo.
No, unfortunately. He made some sort of comment before we moved in together about not wanting a cat, and I basically told him, too bad, Sniff was around first. He corrected himself that he's fine with Sniff, but one is plenty and he wouldn't want more than that. :-p We'll give it time. Maybe if we're somewhere else and some poor stray comes sniffing around, he'll change his mind. He's very good with Sniff.
That's too bad. Maybe he will change his mind if he sees how sweet they are when they get together. (Showing him these pictures might help. ;-P)
My ex was just the opposite. In fact, he was the one responsible for obtaining all four of the kitties and Dexter. Then you see who got "custody" when we divorced. But he loved collecting the animals.
Someone asked me if they "called in gay today." :-P They do look awfully content there. Just to prove that General is straight (or at least, equal opportunity), here he is with Misty.
But thank you! Oh, and I thought of you and our discussion the other day, when I got gas for $1.41.

And where I adopted Trouble, the gorgeous little gray one you see here, to try and mend my broken heart: http://bluesilverkdg.livejournal.com/596231.html

But yes, they do look very content there; life in good in Chez Kim. :-)

Wow! I haven't checked recently but I don't think it has come down much from the "just under $2" here.
