Ahhhhh, I was wondering about that. Because I remember in '98, when we got totally inundated with 18" in Johnson City, Kingsport literally had nothing. My ex in-laws were from Kpt and we couldn't get ahold of them to see if they were all right. Turned out, they were out with friends and had no idea it was snowing in JC!
