My world is a snowglobe.
Feb. 4th, 2009 01:43 pmI was just typing an e-mail when General jumped up on the keyboard and said:
killllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I think perhaps he is struggling with some anger management issues. That reminds me of the time that I was chatting with a guy who turned out to be pure evil. But while we were still on good terms, Sabrina hopped on the keyboard (during our IM) and typed "6666666666666666666666666666666."
Perhaps I should start listening to my cats. They seem to know stuff.

In other news, it snowed like woah here yesterday/last night. Some of it has melted, as the sun came out earlier. But now it's snowing again and looking pretty bleak. I'm not sure of the conditions of the actual roads and highways. I like to think they've been scraped and salted, but we ARE in Tennessee. Snow Management is not exactly our forte'. My parking lot and roads just around my condo, however, still look like a skating rink. I was going to walk to the mailbox and nearly took a tumble about three feet from my house. This leads me to wonder how exactly I need to go about leaving my house. I've got *some* groceries, but of course, I'm craving things that I don't have and didn't think to get. And of course, once I've acquired the goodies that I'm craving right now, I won't want them anymore and will need something else. Some people are just never satisfied.
So, I was debating walking to the store, but I don't know that that's going to work. I don't have any shoes or boots that are exactly geared for bad weather and snow. All my boots are decidedly for "cuteness" only. I think I'll go ahead and try to drive, although that may not be the best idea. It's crazy, because I grew up living and driving in much worse snowstorms than this. When I was a kid, we'd get like 8-10" and think nothing of it. But it's been SO LONG since we've had any snow to speak of, I feel like a complete novice.
Evidently we're supposed to get another storm tonight, and with low temps in the single digits, things don't look promising. I should probably go ahead and stock up while I can. I do feel VERY fortunate that unlike my friends in Kentucky, we do actually have heat and power still. And I'm cranking it up to ridiculous levels. I'll need to sell a kidney to pay my heating bill next month.
Remember when I used to live in Knoxville and I complained because we never got any snow? Haha...yeah. I remember that, too. That was funny, wasn't it?
