I was just typing an e-mail when General jumped up on the keyboard and said:

killllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I think perhaps he is struggling with some anger management issues. That reminds me of the time that I was chatting with a guy who turned out to be pure evil. But while we were still on good terms, Sabrina hopped on the keyboard (during our IM) and typed "6666666666666666666666666666666."

Perhaps I should start listening to my cats. They seem to know stuff.

In other news, it snowed like woah here yesterday/last night. Some of it has melted, as the sun came out earlier. But now it's snowing again and looking pretty bleak. I'm not sure of the conditions of the actual roads and highways. I like to think they've been scraped and salted, but we ARE in Tennessee. Snow Management is not exactly our forte'. My parking lot and roads just around my condo, however, still look like a skating rink. I was going to walk to the mailbox and nearly took a tumble about three feet from my house. This leads me to wonder how exactly I need to go about leaving my house. I've got *some* groceries, but of course, I'm craving things that I don't have and didn't think to get. And of course, once I've acquired the goodies that I'm craving right now, I won't want them anymore and will need something else. Some people are just never satisfied.

So, I was debating walking to the store, but I don't know that that's going to work. I don't have any shoes or boots that are exactly geared for bad weather and snow. All my boots are decidedly for "cuteness" only. I think I'll go ahead and try to drive, although that may not be the best idea. It's crazy, because I grew up living and driving in much worse snowstorms than this. When I was a kid, we'd get like 8-10" and think nothing of it. But it's been SO LONG since we've had any snow to speak of, I feel like a complete novice.

Evidently we're supposed to get another storm tonight, and with low temps in the single digits, things don't look promising. I should probably go ahead and stock up while I can. I do feel VERY fortunate that unlike my friends in Kentucky, we do actually have heat and power still. And I'm cranking it up to ridiculous levels. I'll need to sell a kidney to pay my heating bill next month.

Remember when I used to live in Knoxville and I complained because we never got any snow? Haha...yeah. I remember that, too. That was funny, wasn't it?

Guess what?

No, seriously. Guess!

It's snowing. Yeah, crazy, right? So I got my chocolate that I was craving last night, along with some soup, orange juice and, because I'm a sheep, I actually purchased a loaf of bread. I have not purchased a loaf of bread in approximately six months, but everyone else was doin' it. I also got some peanut butter that is hopefully not laced with salmonella. And I think that's about it. Oh, I had to get some gloves, because I somehow lost one of mine and my hands were turning into icicles. I contemplated wearing one, and just keeping my other hand in my coat pocket, but I didn't want to look like a Michael Jackson wannabe. I went to the Seventh Circle of Hell, also known as Wal-mart, because I have a gift card and you can save three cents per gallon on gas if you use a gift card. So, while at Walmart, I figured I'd pick up a pair of gloves. Couldn't find any. I finally managed to hunt down an employee in the women's department and asked where the gloves might be and she said "we don't have any gloves left, we're putting out spring and summer clothing."

Well, that TOTALLY makes sense. I mean, it's not like it's COLD outside. I did manage to find a ratty pair of gloves that were on the clearance rack and snapped them up. There was...get this...ONE pair of plain black gloves left in the whole damn store. Can you believe that? Still, they were $2 on clearance, so I can't complain. But seriously, it's February. People do tend to need gloves in February. I realize they have to put out their spring stuff when they get it, but honestly. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

On top of the fact that this weather sucks, and I almost couldn't find any gloves, I feel like I'm getting sick, too. I woke up with a scratchy, dry, sore throat this morning, but attributed it to sleeping on my back with my mouth open. But, many hours later, it's still sore and scratchy, plus I've been all congested and I feel like crap. My whole body aches. I think some cocoa, a hot bath, fuzzy pajamas and my spiffy new microfleece sheets are in order.

Did I mention it's snowing again?

So anyway, I got some groceries, gas and gloves. And for that, today's post is brought to you by the letter G.

[Poll #1343722]

(I always said "the snow is laying." But as I met people from different parts of the country, they'd say it was "sticking", which I thought was hysterical. I can see both points of view, but I still say "laying." What say you?)
