Catnip Party, Part Deux

They've been hittin' the 'nip again. Here's the evidence.
Oreo and General are still inhaling the aroma (I sprinkle it on the carpet), but Sabrina is already high as a kite.
Duuuuuuuude...
Sabrina is a total stoner. You can see dribbles of catnip on her chin and forehead.

But the REAL hardcore stoners are Oreo:

And General. Yes, he is actually licking the carpet.

Misty is a bit more subdued, but you can see from the wild eyes, she totally loves it.

By this time, Sabrina has come down a bit, and is saying "WTF are you doing?"

General discovers gravity.

And Oreo discovers her feet.

What? Paranoid? Who? Me? Who wants to know??!

Catnip, oh catnip. How do I love thee?

I love thee thiiiiiiiiiiis much!

As you can see, my babehs don't just get any old catnip, they get the "Premium" shiznit.

Passed. Out. Cold.

(He's fine now. In fact, he's lying on my lap asleep as I type this. I'm sure he's feeling pretty good.)
The End.

Date: 2007-01-20 06:09 pm (UTC)He was a total schizoid when I met him, and I did all of this 'play therapy' with him and now he's a total love bug. INTENSELY so. Sometimes so much so I wished I hadn' done the therapy work with him. (heh)

Date: 2007-01-20 06:15 pm (UTC)Was he a schizoid in that he was just frightened/timid or what? Sabrina and General are both (and always have been) insanely friendly and social cats. Oreo and Misty only come out to play with me, but pretty much stay away from everyone else. It's so interesting to see their individual personalities.

Date: 2007-01-20 10:26 pm (UTC)I just almost had a light blue cat.....someone (I'm not saying who) woke up from his nap & sneaked a jump onto the table where I was painting something. Somehow my reflexes were quick enough to grab him just in time, but it was close.

Date: 2007-01-20 10:21 pm (UTC)And yep...I got General first, then Misty and Oreo soon after in 1997. Sabrina came along in 1998, and the family was complete. :-) Misty is the one that you rarely see in pictures. She hates being photographed (unless she's high, then she doesn't seem to mind.) She was feral until my ex and I found her, so she was very timid and shy for years. Only within the last year has she really started coming out, even for me to pet her. Oreo is very shy around other people, but is friendly with me.

Date: 2007-01-20 08:34 pm (UTC)My stinky cat used to love it -- it used to be just like pot - she's get all crazy trippy, then she'd slow way down, then she'd go running for munchies.

Date: 2007-01-20 10:22 pm (UTC)I've heard that boy cats tend to be more into it than girls, but Oreo threw that idea right out the window. You should try it with your new baby. And take pictures. :-)

Date: 2007-01-20 09:06 pm (UTC)Do you have a lazer light? I just got a little lazer pointer thingie-- and my gawd, I have never seen Argyle so into a toy in the whole of her life. The apartment is trashed from her knocking over everything, setting the rug askew, et all. She's still a little less than three years old, but she's a sedate little critter-- however, that damned little red dot!! WHERE IS IT NOW?! THERE!! KILL! KILL!!
It's hysterical to watch, though since she spends at least ten minutes anxiously searching for it after I've turned it off, I'm a little nervous it might give her a complex...
*b.
ps--
Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Date: 2007-01-21 01:02 am (UTC)When we lived at the farm, I made the mistake of hiding the catnip package in a drawer in the kitchen. The drawers had those childproof locks so I figured things were safe. I was very wrong. Sarah somehow opened the drawer and shared her prize with Sammie...all over my kitchen floor. They finished off the entire bag and passed out. It was pathetic.

Date: 2007-01-21 12:29 pm (UTC)Did they eat the whole bag?? I'm surprised it didn't make them sick! And yeah, General was totally passed out in that last picture. He was just lying there in a stupor. :-P
